SRINAGAR, Jun 30: officials said, on Friday that the Amid forecast<\/a> for isolated to scattered light rain<\/a> and thunderstorm<\/a> in the next 24 hours, the minimum temperature recorded a drop in J&K.
\nAlso rains lashed parts of J&K during the last 24 hours till 0830 hours today with Srinagar<\/a> recording traces, Pahalgam 13.2 mm, Gulmarg 0.4 mm, Batote 0.9 mm, Kupwara 0.6 mm, Bhaderwah 1.4mm and Kathua 3.0 mm.An official from the local meteorological department reported that Srinagar recorded a low of 18.3\u00b0C, compared to 20.3\u00b0C the previous night, which was 1.2\u00b0C warmer than usual for the summer capital.
\nHe claimed that Qazigund recorded a low of 16.6\u00b0C, which was 1.1\u00b0C warmer than average for the Kashmir<\/a> Valley’s entry point town than the previous night’s low of 17.5\u00b0C.In comparison to the previous night’s low of 13.2\u00b0C, Pahalgam, a well-known tourist destination in the Anantnag region of south Kashmir, reported a low of 11.2\u00b0C, according to him. This was 0.4\u00b0C warmer than usual.
\nAccording to him, the mercury reached 15.7\u00b0C in Kupwara Town as opposed to 17.1\u00b0C the night before, which was 0.2\u00b0C warmer than usual for the north Kashmir region.Kokernag reported a low of 16.3\u00b0C compared to 16.7\u00b0C the night before, which was 1.4\u00b0C warmer than usual, according to the officials.
\nIn contrast to the previous night’s low of 12.2\u00b0C, Gulmarg recorded a low of 11.0\u00b0C, which was 0.1\u00b0C warmer than usual, according to him. Gulmarg is a renowned skiing destination in the Baramulla district of north Kashmir.
\nAccording to him, Jammu’s overnight low of 27.1\u00b0C, up from 26.2\u00b0C the night before, was 1.5\u00b0C warmer than usual for the winter capital of J&K.Low temperatures were reported in Banihal at 17.6\u00b0C, 1.5\u00b0C over average, Batote at 17.7\u00b0C, Katra at 23.5\u00b0C, and Bhaderwah at 16.8\u00b0C, 0.8\u00b0C above average. The source stated that Leh and Kargil in Ladakh reported low temperatures of 9.8\u00b0C and 13.4\u00b0C, respectively.<\/p>\n
