KISHTWAR: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Friday paid obeisance at the ancient Shri Gauri Shankar Mandir at Sarkoot in Kishtwar and prayed for peace, prosperity and the well-being of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.<\/p>\n

During his visit to the historic temple, the Lieutenant Governor interacted with public representatives and local residents and took note of their concerns and developmental demands.<\/p>\n

Responding to a key demand raised by the local community, Manoj Sinha directed the district administration to initiate appropriate measures for the rejuvenation and restoration of the pond adjoining the temple premises.<\/p>\n

The move is expected to help preserve the heritage and religious significance of the shrine while improving the surrounding environment for devotees and visitors.<\/p>\n

The Lieutenant Governor was accompanied by Sunil Sharma, Leader of Opposition in the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly; Shagun Parihar, MLA Kishtwar; Pankaj Kumar Sharma, Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar; and other senior officials during the visit.<\/p>\n

The ancient Shri Gauri Shankar Mandir is one of the prominent religious sites in the Kishtwar region and attracts devotees from different parts of the district<\/p>\n
