SAMBA, June 6: Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Samba, Anuj Kumar, has ordered an inquiry and suspended four police personnel, including the Station House Officer (SHO) of Ramgarh Police Station, over allegations of facilitating a compromise in a case registered under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
\nOfficial sources said Inspector Bhopinder Singh, SHO Ramgarh, along with one PSI and two ASIs, has been placed under suspension and attached to the District Police Lines (DPL) pending the outcome of the inquiry.
\nThe SSP has also ordered a detailed probe into the allegations to ascertain the facts.
\nMeanwhile, Inspector Ajay Singh Chib has been posted as the new SHO of Ramgarh Police Station.
\nIn a related development, a Special Police Officer (SPO) has been transferred to Goran Police Chowki.
\nThe action was initiated following complaints regarding the handling of the sensitive case.<\/p>\n
