JAMMU: Drones suspected to have originated from Pakistan were sighted along the Line of Control (LoC) in the Naushera\u2013Rajouri sector of Jammu and Kashmir late Sunday night, Defence sources said.<\/p>\n

Following the detection, the Indian Army immediately activated counter\u2013unmanned aerial system measures, compelling the drones to retreat.<\/p>\n

The sightings came a day after the Border Security Force (BSF) and Jammu and Kashmir Police launched a joint search operation in Samba district, where an arms and ammunition consignment was recovered from the border village of Paloora. The seized items included a made-in-China 9mm pistol with two magazines, a Glock 9mm pistol with one magazine, and a Chinese hand grenade marked SPL HGR 84. Police also recovered sixteen 9mm live rounds from the packet.<\/p>\n
