Ramban, Sep 29: A tragic incident unfolded at the Government Medical College (GMC) Doda, where the body of a female infant, estimated to be around 5\u20136 months old, was discovered abandoned in the bathroom of the Emergency Ward.<\/p>\n

According to Doda Police, the discovery was made on Sunday around 4 p.m. Upon receiving the information, the Investigating Officer, along with a Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) team and a crime scene photographer, promptly reached the site and carried out all necessary legal and scientific procedures. The infant\u2019s body was taken into custody for medico-legal examination.<\/p>\n

Taking cognizance of the matter, Police Post District Hospital (PP DH) Doda registered FIR No. 221\/2025 under Section 94 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Police said an investigation has been initiated, and further legal action will follow as per law.<\/p>\n
