September 29, 2025 : India captain Suryakumar Yadav has announced that he will donate his entire match fee from the just-concluded Asia Cup to the country\u2019s armed forces and the victims of Pahalgam terror attack.<\/p>\n

India defeated bitter foes Pakistan by five wickets in the final to win the trophy on Sunday night here.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have decided to donate my match fees from this tournament to support our Armed Forces and the families of the victims who suffered from the Pahalgam terror attack. You always remain in my thoughts. Jai Hind,\u201d the 35-year-old posted on \u2018X\u2019 after the high-voltage win.<\/p>\n

BCCI announced Rs 21 crore prize money for Asia Cup-winning Indian team and support staff.<\/p>\n

India captain Suryakumar Yadav said it\u2019s the winning team that is remembered, not the trophy as he reacted to his side not being presented the Asia Cup after it refused to accept the top prize from Asian Cricket Council chief and Pakistan\u2019s interior minister Mohsin Naqvi.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have never seen this before winning team not receiving trophy\u2026 But for me, my players and support staff are the real trophies,\u201d Suryakumar said in the post-match press conference.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe took this call on the ground. No one told us to do this,\u201d he said on not accepting Asia Cup trophy from Mohsin Naqvi.<\/p>\n
