{"id":28809,"date":"2025-05-04T06:16:26","date_gmt":"2025-05-04T06:16:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jammubulletin.com\/site\/?p=28809"},"modified":"2025-05-04T06:16:26","modified_gmt":"2025-05-04T06:16:26","slug":"portals-of-badrinath-open-temple-adorned-with-15-tons-of-flowers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/jammubulletin.com\/site\/portals-of-badrinath-open-temple-adorned-with-15-tons-of-flowers\/","title":{"rendered":"Portals Of Badrinath Open, Temple Adorned With 15 Tons Of Flowers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>BADRINATH (UKD), May 4: The portals of the Badrinath temple in Uttarakhand\u2019s Chamoli district were opened for devotees on Sunday after a six-month closure.<br \/>\nAmid vedic chants, the doors of the temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu were opened at 6 am.<br \/>\nFifteen tons of flowers of various varieties adorned the temple and an Indian Army played devotional music on the occasion.<br \/>\nChief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) state unit president Mahendra Bhatt and Tehri MLA Kishore Upadhyay were also present on the occasion.<br \/>\nA special worship was first performed in the temple by the chief priest of Badrinath Dham, Rawal, Dharmadhikari and Vedpathis.<br \/>\nAlong with the main temple, the doors of Ganesh, Ghantakarna, Adi Kedareshwar, Adi Guru Shankaracharya Temple and Mata Murti Temple situated in the Badrinath Dham have also been opened for the devotees.<br \/>\nOfficials here said the local administration has completed all the necessary preparations to make the journey to the Dham safe and smooth.<br \/>\nWith the opening of the doors of Badrinath, this year\u2019s Char Dham Yatra has started in full swing.<br \/>\nEvery year after Diwali, the doors of the Char Dhams \u2014 Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri and Yamunotri \u2014 are closed for devotees. The portals reopen in April-May the following year.<br \/>\nDuring the six-month-long pilgrimage, lakhs of devotees from across the country and abroad visit the Char Dhams.<br \/>\nThe portals of Himalayan temple Kedarnath were opened on Friday last.
