SRINAGAR, Jun 5 : Vikar Rasool Wani<\/a> said the BJP government<\/a> has imposed an \u201dundeclared emergency\u201d in J&K by not holding assembly elections<\/a> in the Union Territory<\/a> since 2019.In addition to panchayat, district development council, and block development council elections, Congress<\/a> favours holding general elections at the assembly level, according to Wani.
\n“Nine years without elections will end in November of this year. Why not here since every state has the opportunity to vote in elections every five years? Here, the BJP has declared an unofficial emergency. Elections should definitely be held in Jammu and Kashmir, Wani told reporters in Khonmoh on the outskirts of Srinagar.Congress is getting ready for municipal elections in Jammu & Kashmir and other regions of the nation, according to the JKPCC chairman.
\nWani said that Congress was not a part of the coalition that included the National Conference (NC) and People’s Democratic Party (PDP), among other parties, when asked whether it would support the People’s Alliance for Gupkar Declaration (PAGD) in the elections.”Under the PAGD setup, Farooq Abdullah and Mehbooba Mufti joined us on stage. We now support one another on shared issues. A partnership cannot occur because the Congress manifesto differs significantly from the NC and PDP platforms, the Congress leader added.
\n“Our manifesto was drafted at the federal level. Congress needs to bring aboard secular parties that are interested in serving the public, he continued.Wani also criticised the BJP for the train accident in Odisha, which left 275 people dead and nearly 1200 injured.
\nThey blame Nehru for their problems because the BJP government has failed and the system is broken, he said.<\/p>\n
