JAMMU: Jammu-Srinagar National Highway (NH-44) has been restored for stranded traffic after landslides, slush, and shooting stones at multiple locations were cleared, officials said on Thursday.<\/p>\n

SSP Traffic NHW Rohit Baskotra confirmed that vehicles were allowed to move after debris was cleared from Dhalwas, Mehar, and Sher Bibi (Kishtwari Pathar) in the Ramban-Banihal sector.<\/p>\n

The highway had been closed since Monday evening following heavy rains that triggered landslides at several points, disrupting connectivity between Jammu and Kashmir. The restoration work was carried out on a priority basis to facilitate the movement of stranded passengers and essential supplies.<\/p>\n

Authorities have advised travelers to check for updates before commencing their journey, as weather conditions remain unpredictable.<\/p>\n
