SRINAGAR, Sep 2: Director General of Police (DGP<\/a>) Dilbag Singh of Jammu and Kashmir stated on Saturday that the UT is progressing towards becoming a “terror free region” and that the police will now fight the drug problem head-on.
\n“Jammu and Kashmir is on track to eradicate terrorism. The number of terrorists is extremely low, and terrorism is at an all-time low. On the sidelines of an event at District Police Lines (DPL), Sopore, the DGP informed media, “We are working to eradicate remanants of terrorism<\/a>.” According to him, police will now take on the problem of the drug epidemic and make sure to end drug misuse and narco-smuggling in J&K.”Sopore was formerly regarded as a hub of militant activity, but today business is booming everywhere. The DGP stated that there is tranquilly on the roadways and that people are grinning. Vivek Gupta, DIG, North Kashmir Range, was with him.
\nHe claimed that transporting drugs is the next challenge after terrorism. He declared, “We are committed to making J&K a drug-free place.
