Dangri terror attack: Victim families demand justice, call for protest on Jmu-Poonch hwy<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

RAJOURI: Family members of the seven victims of a terror attack that took place in the Rajouri<\/a> area of Jammu and Kashmir earlier this year have called for a demonstration against what they claim is a delay in action on the part of security forces on September 4. Terrorists attacked Rajouri’s Dhangri village on January 1 and started firing randomly, leaving seven people dead and 13 others injured. Additionally, they left an IED<\/a> behind, which detonated the next morning. However, according to police, two of the terrorists responsible for the attack were dead, and two more were detained. The police response came in the form of a video depicting Saroj Bala, who lost both of her kids in the attack, urging people to support their protest at Muradpur on the Jammu-Poonch national highway over the public address system. So far, two terrorists have been slain. The National Investigation Agency<\/a> (NIA) has detained two people. On ‘X,’ formerly known as Twitter, the Police Media Centre Jammu declared, “We are determined to fully resolving this heinous attack. In order to gather popular support, Bala, who visited Muradpur Bathuni, Kallar, Chingus, and Nowshera on Friday, said they will travel to more areas of the district on Saturday and Sunday. “Eight months have gone since the terrorist incident, yet justice is still pending.We ask everyone to join us on September 4 in the protest,” she stated. The woman said that each victim’s family had received Rs 10 lakh in compensation as well as work. “We don’t require all of this. For our children who are no longer here, there is no adequate recompense. Protests have already been planned by the victims’ families.<\/p>\n
