Rs. 1.4 crore awarded as settlement amount in different cases
\nKULGAM, SEPTEMBER 15: Under the aegis of NALSA and in pursuance to the direction of J&K Legal Services Authority, the 3rd National Lok Adalat was held in District Kulgam<\/a> under the chairmanship of Aijaz Ahmad Khan (Principal District and Sessions Judge \/Chairman District Legal Services Authority Kulgam).
\nThe Lok Adalat was formally inaugurated by Chairman District Legal Services Authority (DLSA).
\nA total of five benches were constituted, three at Head quarter and one each at D. H. Pora and Qazigund.
\nIn the said Lok Adalat a total number of 1692 cases related to Mact Cases, Family Disputes, Revenue cases, Traffic Challans, Bank Cases, Electricity cases, and Water bills were taken up. Out of which 508 cases were amicably settled. An amount of Rs.1,44,60,700 was awarded in different cases.<\/p>\n
