New Delhi, Sep 11: Union Home Minister and senior BJP leader Amit Shah<\/a> came down heavily on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday for his remark on reservation, and said it has once again brought to the forefront the Congress\u2019 anti-reservation face.Sending a stern message to Gandhi, Shah said that as long as the BJP is there, neither can anyone abolish reservation nor can anyone mess with the nation\u2019s security.
\nShah\u2019s comments came after Gandhi told students of Georgetown University in the US that the Congress would think of scrapping reservations when \u201cIndia is a fair place\u201d, which he said is not the case right now.
\nIn a post on X, Shah said, \u201cStanding with forces that conspire to divide the country and making anti-national statements have become a habit for Rahul Gandhi and the Congress party.\u201d
\nHe added that whether it was supporting the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference\u2019s \u201canti-national and anti-reservation agenda\u201d in Jammu and Kashmir or making \u201canti-India statements\u201d on foreign platforms, Rahul Gandhi has \u201calways threatened\u201d the nation\u2019s security and hurt sentiments.
\n\u201cRahul Gandhi\u2019s statement lays bare the Congress\u2019s politics of causing rifts on the lines of regionalism, religion, and linguistic differences. By speaking about abolishing reservations in the country, Rahul Gandhi has once again brought the Congress\u2019s anti-reservation face to the forefront,\u201d Shah wrote.
\nThe Union home minister said the thoughts that were in the Lok Sabha leader of the opposition\u2019s mind have eventually found their way out as words.
\n\u201cI want to tell Rahul Gandhi that as long as the BJP is there, neither can anyone abolish reservations nor can anyone mess with the nation\u2019s security,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
