KATRA: In compliance to District Magistrate Reasi order regarding installation of CCTV Cameras at Hotels\/Lodges and Medical Shops etc, Police conducted a surprise checking at Katra town and booked five establishments for the non-compliance. During inspection of Hotels & Lodges at Katra, five Lodges were found without CCTV cameras. In this regard five FIRs No. 192\/24 U\/S 223 BNS,193\/24 U\/S 223 BNS, 194\/24 U\/S 223 BNS 195\/24 U\/S 223 BNS & 196\/24 U\/S 223 BNS have been registered at Police Station Katra, against the lodge owners for non- compliance of notification issued by District Magistrate Reasi. The entire operation was led by SHO Katra, Inspector Nishant Gupta. Pertinent to mention that District Magistrate Reasi, in his order, has directed that CCTV cameras must be installed in all Hotels\/Lodges, Medical Shops etc. While sharing the information, SSP Reasi Mohita Sharma once again appealed to the owners of Hotels\/Lodges, Medical Shops of Reasi District to make use of technology & install CCTV cameras in their premises to keep surveillance on criminal elements in the society.<\/p>\n
