{"id":14805,"date":"2024-04-10T14:11:07","date_gmt":"2024-04-10T14:11:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jammubulletin.com\/site\/?p=14805"},"modified":"2024-04-10T14:11:07","modified_gmt":"2024-04-10T14:11:07","slug":"two-hpcl-assistant-managers-booked-for-pilfering-petroleum-products-worth-rs-5-82-crore","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/jammubulletin.com\/site\/two-hpcl-assistant-managers-booked-for-pilfering-petroleum-products-worth-rs-5-82-crore\/","title":{"rendered":"Two HPCL Assistant Managers Booked For Pilfering Petroleum Products Worth Rs 5.82 Crore"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>New Delhi, Apr 10: The CBI has registered an FIR against two HPCL assistant managers for allegedly pilfering 642 kilo litres of petroleum products worth Rs 5.82 crore between June 2022 and January 2024, officials said on Wednesday.<br \/>\nThey said the agency has booked Rahul Kumar and Hemant Singh, both assistant managers posted at HPCL\u2019s Mathura terminal, along with two private transporters \u2014 SR Transport Company and Jadon Transport Company.<br \/>\nThe Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) started a search operation on the premises of the accused in Agra and Mathura in Uttar Pradesh during which Rs 12 lakh (approx) in cash, property documents and other incriminating documents were seized from the two assistant managers.<br \/>\nThe CBI action comes on a complaint from HPCL\u2019s chief vigilance officer alleging that both accused entered into a conspiracy with the transporters, allowing the theft of petroleum products from the Mathura terminal and causing wrongful loss of Rs 5.82 crore to the exchequer while enriching the accused transport companies.<br \/>\n\u201cIt was also alleged that in furtherance of the said conspiracy, both accused assistant managers operations allowed excess loading of approx 642 kilo litre petroleum products in tank trucks of accused private transport companies through 305 instances,\u201d the CBI has said in a statement.
