JAMMU: As the J&K Board of School Education<\/a> is going to conduct Annual Regular examination 2024 (soft zone) of Classes 12th with effect from 6th of March 2024 followed by exams of classes 10th & 11th, all the schools have been instructed to take best possible measures for their smooth conduct. A total of 3,51,512 students will be appearing in all these classes across the UT of J&K , and UT of Ladakh spread over 3139 examination centers. Meanwhile, JKBOSE has also clarified that as the result of Classes 10th and 11th of Bi-Annual Session 2023 was declared during the month of January, 2024 , the Board had accordingly issued a notification dated 23.01.2024 for accepting the examination forms of all those eligible candidates (provisionally admitted) who were declared \u2018Re-appear’ or \u2018failed’ in their Annual Regular, 2023 examinations and now have cleared all their backlog papers in the subsequent Bi-Annual Session 2023. Pertinent to mention that the Government<\/a> order issued by the School Education Department, vide No.119-Edu of 2017 dated 15.03.2017 envisages the entire process\/eligibility for such cases. It has categorically been mentioned therein that those students, who are declared \u2018Reappear’ in the results of Annual Regular Examinations can seek the provisional admission in the next higher class and are allowed to continue studies till the next Biannual examinations only; if they are unable to pass all the compulsory subjects in the subsequent Bi-annual examination, their provisional admission is cancelled. But those provisionally admitted students who qualify in Biannual examination, their provisional admissions are confirmed as regular students and they become eligible to appear in its annual examination. The candidates who had failed\/had backlog in the Annual Examinations of 2022 or earlier years, and had cleared their 11th class in the Biannual session 2023 are ineligible for Annual Regular exam session 2024 i.e. they were neither eligible for provisional admission in 2023 nor for appearing in Annual Exams 2024 as they lacked eligibility of \u2018minimum teaching days’ , submission of internal assessment etc. As these students have cleared 2023 Biannual examination, but after a gap of two years, it warrants that they seek admission in next higher class and then earn eligibility for appearing in Annual Regular Examination 2025 Session.<\/p>\n
