{"id":11960,"date":"2024-02-29T09:28:59","date_gmt":"2024-02-29T09:28:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jammubulletin.com\/site\/?p=11960"},"modified":"2024-02-29T09:28:59","modified_gmt":"2024-02-29T09:28:59","slug":"soldier-injured-in-accidental-firing-in-poonch","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/jammubulletin.com\/site\/soldier-injured-in-accidental-firing-in-poonch\/","title":{"rendered":"Soldier injured in accidental firing in Poonch"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Mendhar\/Jammu, Feb 29 : An army personnel was injured when his service rifle went off accidentally near the <a href=\"https:\/\/jammubulletin.com\/site\/sachin-tendulkar-visits-aman-setu-in-uri\/\">Line of Control<\/a> in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir, officials said on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"_yeti_done\">The incident occurred on Wednesday night.The <a href=\"https:\/\/jammubulletin.com\/site\/he-always-wanted-to-join-army-says-kin-of-agniveer-ajay-singh-who-died-in-rajouri-landmine-blast\/\">soldier<\/a>, who was part of a patrolling team in the Balnoi area of the Mendhar sector, slipped after losing balance which led to accidental fire from his service weapon, officials said.<\/p>\n<p>He was injured on the left foot and taken to a hospital, they said.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, a rusty grenade was defused near the border fence in Balnoi on Wednesday evening, officials said.<\/p>\n<p>The grenade was detected by the Army during a patrol.
