{"id":1119,"date":"2023-07-19T06:59:33","date_gmt":"2023-07-19T06:59:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jammubulletin.com\/site\/?p=1119"},"modified":"2023-07-19T06:59:33","modified_gmt":"2023-07-19T06:59:33","slug":"2-houses-collapse-amid-heavy-rains-in-kathua-5-dead","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/jammubulletin.com\/site\/2-houses-collapse-amid-heavy-rains-in-kathua-5-dead\/","title":{"rendered":"2 Houses Collapse Amid Heavy Rains In Kathua; 5 Dead"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Jammu, July 19 : officials and reports said on Wednesday, 3 persons died and 2 others are feared dead after 2 houses collapsed following heavy rains in Bani area of <a href=\"https:\/\/jammubulletin.com\/site\/rohingyas-demand-release-from-holding-centre-in-kathua\/\">Kathua<\/a> district.According to them, <a href=\"https:\/\/jammubulletin.com\/site\/cm-himachal-seeks-rs-2000-crore-interim-relief-as-state-battles-aftermath-of-rain-fury\/\">torrential rain<\/a> caused two homes owned by Mushtaq Ahmed and Abdul Qayum in Bani&#8217;s Surjan Morha Aruad Block to collapse. Five people, including children, were buried beneath these houses, and thus far, rescuers, including police and local volunteers, have only found the bodies of three of them, including Mohammad Arif, the son of Abdul Qayum.An extensive rescue effort was in progress, according to SSP Kathua Shivdeep Singh Jamwal, who also verified that the dead had been recovered from the rubble. Two more people, he claimed, are also thought to be dead.<br \/>\nAuthorities later stated that Naseema Begum, Mohammad Rafiq&#8217;s wife of Mandhota Tehsil Bani, had died after being hit by a landslip.
