KISHTWAR : According to a senior source, on Wednesday, the Jammu and Kashmir Police Special Investigation Unit (SIU) raided the homes of four terrorists with ties to Pakistan in several parts of the Kishtwar district. Senior Superintendent of Police said , Kishtwar, Khalil Ahmad Poswal, the raids were conducted in Padder, Keshwan, and Thakrai after search warrants were issued from a special In a case involving the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, the NIA court in Jammu. Teams from the SIU earlier on May 18 raided the homes of three suspected local residents as well as five terrorists who are currently operating out of Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir.According to the SSP, the material gathered during the searches would be utilised to prove the targets’ complicity in terrorism and anti-national activity. On April 26, the special NIA court in Jammu issued non-bailable warrants against 23 Kishtwar-based terrorists who were operating from outside the country. 13 terrorists in the district were the targets of earlier non-bailable warrants. The 36 Kishtwar residents left for Pakistan after spending time joining the ranks of terrorism. Following the discovery of their involvement in terrorist activities during investigations, two FIRs were subsequently filed against them, according to the SSP.
